Subject:
Great show, go Marty!
I think Marty must have had an extra bowl of Wheaties the morning of December 13, 1991, as his vocals in this show are fantastic! Check out the "Back to Chicago" verse in "Texas Skies," where he really gets the growl going. Also listen "Can't You See," the end of "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue," and "Easy Street" as well for more great Marty vocals. The bongos (presumably from Jason Litwin, who played on their first album that came out in 1992) are a nice addition, particularly in the jam section of "Quinn the Eskimo." Some versions sound a little thin, such as "The Puppet" (the guitar solo sounds particularly weak) and "Texas Skies" (Marty's vocals being an exception). Also check out the instrumental version of "Peace by Piece" - not sure what happened there, but maybe Marty needed a break from crushing it with his vocals earlier in the show, haha. Not sure, but this must have been among the first shows that Rob played with the band.
